Memorial Bursaries 2025 -26

Any full members of Cumbria-Westmorland Federation of WIs (including previous recipients of Memorial Bursaries who have not received an award in the past 3 years) are invited to apply for a Bursary for the sum of £500 towards the cost of a course (excluding travel costs) for personal development either online, by day school or residential. The Memorial Bursary can also be used to fund an in-house Federation course or holiday.

The Bursary this year will offer a sum of £500 towards the cost of the chosen course, excluding travel. Applicants may elect to choose a more expensive course provided they are willing to fund the excess cost themselves.

Please note: Applicants must NOT pay a deposit for a course until they have been informed by the Federation Office in Kendal that they have been successful in securing a Bursary. The bursary will be awarded in good time for the member to secure a place.

There will be three Memorial Bursaries of £ 500.00 each, and thirty Federation Bursaries of £50.00 each. We need to receive these by Monday 30th June; applications will be assessed at the July board meeting. An application form for bursaries can be found here.
