Here you will find details of courses and events CWFWI are organising during the coming year.
Most of the listings below are links to the advertised events. Click on the links to find further details about each event and the booking form. For most events it is possible to book online. You will also find booking forms that you can download. You can usually book for yourself as an individual or you can book for yourself and others.

SEPTEMBER
Wednesday 9th / Thursday 10th September: County Show, Crooklands, LA7 7NH.
Wednesday 16th September: Join us for a fantastic day trip to Manchester and experience the magic of the internationally acclaimed musical. This is your chance to enjoy a matinee performance of the true-life musical phenomenon that tells the incredible story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Go behind the music and inside the journey from the streets of New Jersey to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Packed with unforgettable hits and a powerful story, JERSEY BOYS is the show that's simply too good to miss!
Monday 28th September: Harvest Supper with trophy presentation and speaker Claire Beaumont. Endmoor Village Hall, LA8 0HQ. Details to follow
OCTOBER
Wednesday 7th October: The Wainwrights in Winter. Join us for this exciting and interesting afternoon at Selside Memorial Hall with Nicky Oliver, Floki and David Johnson in conversation with Sally Smith from Grasmere WI. £10 including lunch and coffees.
Thursday 15th October: Literary Luncheon, with Deborah Swift,Thursday 15th October 2026, 12 noon for 12.30 pm cost £40.00, Roundthorn Country House, Roundthorn, Penrith, CA11 8SJ
Thursday 22nd October: Treasurer Training, 10am – 4pm, WI Office, Murley Moss, Kendal, LA9 7RL
Tuesday 27th October: Turn Old Books to New, Tuesday 27th October, 10am-3pm, £20 per person lunch and coffee included. WI office, Murley Moss, Kendal, LA9 7RL
2027 Events
Thursday 3rd June: (Travel Wednesday 2nd June) NFWI Annual Council Meeting: Join our trip to the Annual Council Meeting at the Connexin Live Arena in Hull. We’ll be staying at the Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort. £173 per person including Annual Meeting ticket, twin room provision and travel. More details here.
