Welcome to Cumbria-Westmorland Federation of WIs. Joining a WI is a wonderful experience and a great way to make new friends, especially if you have just moved to this area.

We are a varied Federation and are lucky to have many WI’s throughout the area – you’ll never be very far from one! Most are in our scattered villages but there are also WI’s in our towns. Kendal has three! Each WI has its own way of doing things, they plan their own programmes to suit their members, but whatever the character of the WI you’ll be sure to find a warm welcome. WI’s make fun and friendship a major focus in everything we do in the local Federation. Trustees and committees organise a varied programme of events which take place in our office and around the county. You’ll never be short of something do! There are opportunities for visits, holidays, workshops and much more. There is also the opportunity for members to become involved in the various campaigns being spearheaded by our national organisation.

The WI Office is completely closed on Mondays.
