CROSSCRAKE WI Rummikub 2nd Monday in the month at ‘the Punch Bowl’ at Barrows Green. 10.30am, then lunch if you want!
21st July: Coniston WI would like to invite members to a water sports evening and ‘Jacobs Join’ on Tuesday July 21st at Water Park, Nibthwaite at 5:15. You can try swimming, kayaking, rafted or individual canoes or just come along for an evening of stunning views of Coniston Water and JJ supper. If you would like to try the sports there is a charge of £20 which includes wet suits, waterproofs etc. Please bring chairs, cutlery, plates etc and wine. 12th August: Storth WI invite you to an Open Meeting on Wednesday, 12th August at 7:30pm, in Storth Village Hall. The speaker will be Mitch Bridgewater of Sewing Bee fame he will be joining us to share his experiences of qualifying for the show. He really is an entertaining speaker! Everyone Welcome! Visitors’ Donations £5 to include tea or coffee and cake!!
19th August Natland & Oxenholme WI invite you to join them in a heritage walk with a Bus Badge Guide about the canal and its importance to Kendal. The walk, which will last about an hour, starts at Hansons Cafe and finishes at the old canal basin. Following the walk we’ll finish with refreshments (not included in price) at The Waterside Cafe. 19th August Tebay and Orton WI would like to invite you to their afternoon fundraising event on Wednesday 19th August, 2pm – 4pm, at Tebay Methodist Chapel, when they will be hosting a Piano, Violin and Cello Concert with the Eden Piano Trio. Family and friends are welcome. Free entry includes tea/coffee and cake. Donations are welcome to help support ‘Sightsavers’.
